I am sharing this correspondence I have been sent. Should I receive any further details, I will add here.
Tekla Hicks - Parish Clerk
I am writing in your capacity as Clerk to Great Hinton Parish Council to provide advance
notice of an upcoming public consultation in respect of proposals for a new mixed-use
neighbourhood to the northeast of Trowbridge, at Hilperton.
The consultation event will be held from 2pm to 8pm on Tuesday 30th June at
Trowbridge Rugby Football Club, Doric Park, Paxcroft, Hilperton, Trowbridge, Wiltshire,
BA14 6JB. The consultation is being undertaken in advance of the submission of a
planning application later this year.
The applicant, Lightwood, is proposing a new neighbourhood (known as 'Great
Whaddon') which is envisaged to provide up to 1,300 homes, local centre uses, leisure,
recreation and educational facilities together with extensive open space, green
infrastructure and habitat enhancements.
We will be inviting local residents by post to attend and have the opportunity to speak to
the project team and will be launching a consultation website to provide information
about the proposals and opportunity for comments to be submitted online. We will
share the website link with you once it is live in mid-June.
